Way Behind Schedule

Way Behind Schedule

Ever since I got the X1600 on Friday, I've been falling behind on my workload... So far, I've only done chem and bio... I still have maths and a LOAD of GP to do!!! =S
Well, at least there's the good news of having a relatively new and up-to-date graphics card plus I've just upgraded the RAM to 1GB.

Actually, other than my com upgrades and the ever-present workload, I've got nth much to say... I just hope that I'll haf some time tmr to prepare for my rally...

Defeat & Despair... Deja Vu

Defeat & Despair... Deja Vu

I'm starting to dread the last Friday of every month now... It's like the last Friday of March, SR's Sports Day, was a terrible, terrible day filled with almost no victories for Draco hse and the fact that on that day it rained heavily with lightning flashes... Deja Vu... Really... A Month after that, SR's defeat to JJC in rugby just as we hope to enter the semi-finals, was followed by lightning and rain... Defeat, Deja Vu...
A month ago, all I wished went perfectly, shattered into pieces in front of me... Thank God, today, nothing like that happened... But still, the effects could still be felt even after such a long period... Despair, Deja Vu???

The days are getting 'colder'... It's like I'm crawlin' thru every single day of my life... Life seems so different. Everything I've struggled so hard to build, fix, repair, etc. seems to be crashing down on me the next day... Hehehez... I don't realli mind, coz life here is temporary anyways. My life, my family, my friends, even my 'enemies', are all, in a way, "borrowed"... We all belong to God. We belong to our Creator. From Him is where we begin and to Him is where we will all return...

The World Is my prison,
Death Is My Release.

A little smth to explain my state of mind:

(During a US raid Um Jaafar, a woman in her 40s, saw her three sons Jaafar, Haidar and Athir being killed before her eyes).
"At 2.30, the night of 21 January, I woke up to a blast that opened the door of our house in the Al-Huriya Al-Thaniya area, west of Baghdad. A group of American soldiers stormed in.
With them was an Iraqi translator, through whom they asked me about Mohamed. I pointed to my son Jaafar, whom we call Mohamed at home. Without a single comment, they moved to where Jaafar was sleeping and shot him dead. Athir, Jaafar's 28-year-old half-brother, tried to question the translator about the reason. The response was, 'the matter has come to an end.' And when he tried to go upstairs to seek the help of their elder brother Haidar, 29, an American bullet beat him to it, killing him immediately. Haidar's wife tried to defend her husband and their children, Mustafa and Ali, but one of the Americans beat her back -- on the head, with a baton -- to make way for the bullet that was to kill Haidar. The whole process took no more than a few minutes. In the end my daughter Shaimaa lay among the three corpses, injured and bleeding.
Only later did the translator ask me to fetch the identity cards of those killed -- only to realise that there was no Mohamed among them. He said simply, 'sorry, but we have killed them on a suspicion.' And the raiding force left. What happened had not sunk in when they came back, and to this day I still can not believe it; I have not visited the graves of my sons. I lost three sons like that; who would believe me? I do not believe it myself. Trying to comfort me, neighbours and relatives point out that at least I got to bury my dead; there are mothers, they say, who do not even have access to their sons' corpses once they are told they were killed. But I am a mother and my disaster feels the greatest.
Tell me, what should I do when I miss Jaafar and his brothers? I miss them. For how long will we keep losing our sons by mistake? Just tell me what to do. Can you help me not miss them?"

Tell me why shld I not feel angry,
Tell me why shld I not feel sad,
With such injustices everywhere,
The world is almost in Par with the likes of Hell itself,
The world is a Prison,
Death Is My Release,
To God will I return,
Where I'll find justice. God-Willing...

Die Smiling :D

Die Smiling =D (JW, FYI, that is NOT smiling equals to D... >.<)

Whoa.. So Tired today... Had PE first thing in the morning which realli drained alot of my energy for the rest of the day(considering tt I didnt know tt council meeting was gonna end at 7.30). After PE, had the usual hectic/packed Tuesday timetable...(A yr ago tuesdays were the best days ever...) My tutorials & lectures finished at 3 but since I had to w8 till 5.30 for SC "meeting"(which later turned out to be Rally Rehearsal =O), I went to the 'aquarium' and finished my ML Hw.(which, ironically, turned out to be a 250-words SPEECH!!!! WTH!!!)...

During my rally rehearsal, it was ENDURANCE ENDURANCE ALL THE WAY.. Had to sit STIFF straight for arnd an hour, fists clenched and on my knees, plus a PLASTIC smile on my face...(to think tt's hard, try and do that plus trying to answer several tough questions AT THE SAME TIME!!!) I went up mainly for the sake of trying to 'gauge' my voice on the Hall microphone so that I'll be better prepared for my speech tmr morning...

That's about as much as I can post tonite b4 my shoulders fall off... Will definately blog more tmr, and friday =P (Again JW, tt is not friday is equals to P...)

WASSUP!!!!!

Homework, Homework Everywhere

Homework, Homework Everywhere

I had sooo much homework that I didnt bother to do any until tonite. Woke up at 9am today and went to Tekka Mall with Dad to buy several foodstuffs ('coz baby Harris comin' later in the evening & Mom's always always would nvr 4get to cook smth special for e family everytime Harris is here :D). That and I bought some toiletries for myself plus something I've wanted for sooo long: ankle socks... finally I dun haf to wear my old, ancient-styled of sox animore... Went home arnd noon... The usual regime of cleaning my room & computer maintainence (every week I'll do...), took a nap frm 2-3. My nephew came arnd 5pm liddat, he seems ever so happy to see us(compared to several months back, when he'd wail & wail whenever we tried to bring him into our hse :S). My bros & I kept him company from tt time till 7 when it was his 'dinnertime'. I'm surprised tt kids these days learn so much so fast, I mean, he's already beginning to mumble certain words(albeit uncomprehensively) and is able to walk oredi.. On his OWN!!! I mean he's barely 9 mths old ... Haiz... When it's time for him to go home(coz my eldest bro don't live here, they live smwhere in Sengkang or Rivervale or smth), my day returned back to 'DULL-NESS'... Now, I'm 'trying' to do my PI... JC life: Live each day for the sake of finishing your 'deadlines' of the next...

The "Wassup!" Man

The "Wassup!" Man

Ever since the beginning of the week, the council nominees have been bz preparing their posters and slogans, and me(being ME), came up with the most simplest, yet the best way my SR pals relate to me... Which is... "Wassup! Sab!"... Hahahaz, catchy phrase nonetheless... Anyways, here's a brief summary of my SUPER hectic weekday:
Monday 17/4
Had 2 maths test and a GP test on thesis and introductory statements... Did ok for the class maths test. For GP n Maths lecture test, I'll have to wait 'till next week... That day was rather uneventful besides using the PW period in the IT room to either watch "Happy Tree Friends"(It helps to pass the time, realli) and searching 2pid names, slogans, "facts" at TheSurrealist.co.uk...

Tuesday 18/4
PE... Had physical training, since i had the RARE opportunity of CHOICE, I merely jogged abit, did pull-up(assisted of course :S) and played soccer.. Being Me(again), I played as goalie... Break, H2O APPLE FLAVOUR... whoa... that stuff is realli addictive.. worse than "curger"... as usual, I'll keep a quarter of the drink to safe for the lecture after break.. which, on that day, happens to be BIO!!!... The rest of the day uneventful, 'cept that the rest of my classmates went to Chinatown...

Wednesday 19/4 IT'S CURGER TIME!!! :D
hahaz, the rest of the day was unimportant and dull... that was until CURGER TIME during lunch... Since Gordy & I didnt want the 'cold' pratas, we waited for the rest to buy their's first... BIG MISTAKE... By the time it was our turn to buy, the rest was nearly finishing their meals... Ended up buying one egg only 'coz i didnt wanna rush back to school for econs... After our CURGER TIME, it was time to get 'high' (literally)... Went to block 702(i think) 'coz we went up the lift at 703 more than once oredi... Ced, 'Benny, Chanchan, Delon, Gordy & I took the lift to the 9th floor(haiz, 703 had TWELVE FLOORS!!! THAT'S 3 MORE!!!). Jumped up & down IN THE LIFT on the way up...(being foolish & having deathwishes+CURGER HIGH is not a good combination) Reached the 9th floor, "tried" to push Ced out but I was laughing too hard and kinda like gave up on it... To ease our "frustration :P" we jumped up and down on the way down too..(plus Ced was like damn scared.. hahahz... evidently he thought that dying with a bunch of crazy, curger-highed guys in a lift was worse than suicide.. hehe)... After our moment of 'happiness' we went back to school. Then, for 'Benny, Shaun, Ced(abit freaked out after tt) and I, we went to council Speech rehearsal...

A little 'token' for remembrance of the 'ride'at block 702.. hehe

Thursday 20/4
This is by far one of the most hectic days I'd ever experienced since 2nd Orientation... With my ML lesson at 3.30, I had a 2 hr break while the rest of my friends either went home or stayed in skool to do HW... Me, being..... well...me (Again), decided to rush (and i REALLY MEAN RUSH) to Sim LIm Square during the lunch break to buy the Collector's Edition of Oblivion... Suprisingly, I made it there and back again in less than hour ... hahahaz... after ML, went straight home to prepare my poster... I did it all the way from 7pm to 12.30am... If only I knew that we didnt haf to pass it up tmr, I could've slept early. (which obviously I didnt, and suffered ALOT the next day)

Friday 21/4...ZZzzz...
I cant really remember what went on throughout the lectures as I had a REAL HARD time trying to stay awake.. The only thing I rmb about this morning was that after PE, Half the CG bought H20 Apple Flavour, and that I kept a 1/4 of it for the Maths lecture.. (which did help me to stay awake...) Then it was chem tutorial, nth much 'cept that I volunteered to 'present' one qs... I dunnoe wth e rest of my 'mates are laughing at... damn... It sux when u dunnoe wads going on.. 'specially when u;re half asleep e whole day...
After prayers, brought a can of Nescafe's Finest and it did some help to keep me awake for my council stuff at 3.30... Btw, council's great... I juz hope tt more ppl will 'WASSUP!' me... everywhere, anywhere... hehehe.... Did our rehearsals plus a little 'mic adjusting tutorial' :S... At 5.30, went to see e 'hui hui guy' for my PI evaluation... luckily he gave it to me today... with a weekend for me to do... (btw, my CG is SUPER slow in PI... Other CG's have already finished their GPP... and we havent even been group yet...)

That's pretty much my weekday... Luckily my workload isn;t as bad as last week... Haiz... Council Speech on Wednesday & Thursday... Gotta memorise my speech oredi...

Freedom Weekend

Freedom Weekend

Today, i managed to finish my chem and maths. I was about to play CoD2 when i 'stumbled' on a pile of paper besides my bed... =S Realised that it was my GP & Bio HW... Just when i thought i could relax for once on a weekend!! Juz for once... Haiz... But being myself, I juz chucked the pile even further and went on playing CoD2(which, btw, i havent played since January, or was it December.. Haiz... so long ago)

Anyways, regarding my title, while on my 'many' homework 'breaks' I decided to do a little research for myself. Searched under "free iraq" came across a load of good websites. Well, many of u(my frenz) wouldn't know that I really really hate anybody who inasmuch disgrace, or even to the extent of hate, my Prophet, as the saying goes "whoever is the enemy of Prophet Muhammad, is the enemy of Islam". So, u(my frenz) can count urself lucky if u've made some "jokes" in the past and got away 'unscathed' (since they were mainly racial in nature, i dun realli bother that much, 'coz the way I see the world is not by a person's skin colour, or their creed).
Enough about me, get back to the topic: What those sites contained, and how it realli affected my day...

First of all, the blog I saw was superb, it contained exactly what I wanted since March 2003, which was the truth in the Iraq War. Real pictures of the war, not those you'll see on state sanctioned news where everything on 'their' side is good... =P 'Coz if u'd realli believe tt crap, might as well u start in believing that pigs can fly =S...
The pictures shows the civilian dead in Falluja(and if u thought that the occupiers had crushed the resistance in Falluja, just rethink for once why they was no news coverage in tt area for over a year already...) and it's hard to describe in words... The occupiers use chem weapons, WMDs, and there'll be juz loads and loads of bodies, lying on the road. Women, children, the elderly. Bodies victims to stray animals. Burnt skin but intact clothing, evidence of chemical weapons being used...

A Letter from 17 years old Nofa Khadduri to President Bush

Thank you, for nothing.

So, Mr. President, you said what? “There are no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq”?

Huh? Funny thing you decided to mention that now.

It took you how long to admit this? Too long.

This confession of a big lie that you and your government bestowed upon us, the people, and the rest of the world came a little too late.

If you had told us this earlier, perhaps over a 1, 500 American soldiers would still be alive.

Perhaps that many young Americans would not have had to give up their lives and defend their country for a false cause.

If you, Mr. President, had told us this earlier, there would not be so many ash burned neighborhoods in Iraq. Cities in Iraq would not reek of death from your bombs.

There would not be so many wives, husbands, mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers and children crying for their beloved ones.

There might have been a few that cried under the old regime, it is true. But, you, you made that number multiply by so many; even count lost its place.

But you don’t care. You didn’t have to count the dead or collect their bodies, or even search through the rubble for someone that you might love.

Maybe, if you had remembered to mention that Iraq had no weapons of mass destruction since I don’t know, let’s say 1991, when you found out that Iraq had no capability of producing such ugly weapons; the world would be a safer place.

But no, you decided to keep that little secret to yourself.

You decided to sit back and watch as Iraq tumbles and the souls of the dead rise. You sat back and watched as your own people gave up their lives, for a country – whose reputation, you have tainted.

So, thank you. Thank you for being so considerate. Thank you for the partial truth you have given us, and for all the pain and ache you caused Iraqis all around the world. Not to mention the pain and the efforts of the nations around the world that tried to help us, but which you shut down and ignored over and over again.

Please, don’t take this personally, but in all honesty, if you are asking us “Isn’t the world a safer place without Saddam?” think again, because you have got the wrong person Mr. President.

The world would be safer without you too, and the likes of you.

End Of Letter

...The World today, may not realise of the atrocities being committed to Muslims around the world.. but then again, the Almighty sees all, and insyallah, He will bring justice.

I will post more... May God grant me strength

So Much Homework, So Little Time

So Much Homework, So Little Time

It's Good Friday today, the beginning of a "long" weekend. With the amount of homework I currently have, I think my "long" weekend has juz ended. =S Anywaes, I juz wanted to show this 2pid but kinda funny paragraph:

"We should institutionalize bums. If you think about it, a bum's home is the street, so he's sort of like a city host. Bums can reveal so much about a city.
City hosts aren't begging for money, they are asking you for rent. It's their completely legitimate right as city hosts. It all makes sense actually. The way they are dressed; wouldn't you go mad and look like them if you had literally tens of thousands of people coming and going out of your house each day? It's a very stressful job. All those people spitting, swearing, mugging and hugging each other.

City hosts also have the prerogative of deciding which part of their house will serve as toilet. Be it a crowded street or a monument to a prominent figure in the city's history. If the city host wants to shower the leg of the great liberator's valiant steed on the main square, we should respect their decision as guests in his house"

.. Quite a weird point of view but funny nonetheless

Rugby Game and A lot of Hw Not A Good Combination

Rugby Game and A lot of Hw Not A Good Combination

Went to the 'B' Division Rugby Finals today. The Big Showdown b/t SAS & ACS(I) at the Police Acad. Little did I know that the police academy at Thomson Road (near CJC) was closed and it moved all the way to the other end of S'pore, Old Choa Chu Kang Road (note the word OLD). Was reluctant to go at first until Wei jin dragged me along when i was about to board 107 home... Took a cab with Pei yee n may yee (the yees =S) all the way frm SR to the new police academy at that "ulu" area. Took arnd 20 - 30 mins to reach there and cost me a hefty $15.70... Btw, there's a LOAD of gossips which i just knew today about some of e guys in SR... Some of e stuff i heard is just... so surreal...

Reached the police academy at 4.20. Found ourselves a seat whilst w8ting for the finals to begin...

4.45pm ... SHOWDOWN... SAS did their warcry in front of ACS(I). Scored 6 points during 30 mins of the first half (2 conversions, i think tt's wad its called, according to ced). But, during the last 10mins of the first half, ACS(I) scored 7 points by breaching our lines and managed to get pass e goal.

5.30pm... Tension... during the half time and the 2nd half... SAS morale was greatly affected as we watched on hopelessly as our SA ruggers' line get battered, hammered n God noes wad by the ACS(I) ruggers... Until the moment we chosed to charge and pressure their lines. Lead by the rather "big"-sized (more like HUGE) nabil, who rammed their lines, causing them to falter and move back. It was a stalemate as SA tried our best to break or find a way through their solid defense.

5.50pm... However, a skilled shot (and with a dash of luck) by one of our ruggers helped us to get back into the lead with a total of 9 points. That really helped bring our morale and SAS spirit back as we cheered ourselves hoarse and urge our fellow saints onwards to absolute victory.

Around 6.00pm... Another conversion was scored which brought our total score to 12 points... SAS morale was literally reaching its climax as we neared the final whistle and prayed that our ruggers' defense will hold fast against the unending barrage of ACS(I) ruggers who tried their best to breach it for the second time. However, lady luck was on our side. The whistle blowed... The fight for the police cup has juz ended... Saints win 12-7, the SAS 'lads invaded the fields to congratulate the players, whilst I was 'hitting and nearly smashing' the vending machine for "eating" $1... Damn tt vending machine... (Out of topic: Pei Yee screamed & cheered like siao.. even more higher pitched n louder than during orientation... hahahahaz.. thanx grl. We could use u in future rugby or any events which requires ALOT of cheering & screaming =P)

6.20pm ... After saying several(more like a whole lot) of swears to tt accursed machine, I went around to find several ex-SA ppl and tried to hitched a ride back to SAS... Judging by the fact tt we were practically in the middle of nowhere... B4 i left, i took this pic:

It brings back memories of past rugby games...

8.00 pm: reached home after hitching a 50min ride back on an SJAB (SAS) bus... Btw, e bus driver realli looked like Isa... hmm, i wonder if he does have a job outside of school... shld ask arnd... hehe... Went home, realised tt NO ONE was at home since everyone is staying at e chalet my bro organised... haiz... Did some HW(more like rushed some HW) whilst blasting music... hahaz...

Now: Left econs tutorial and bio revision.. but since it's an MCQ test only... most likely I'll start doing my revision when "I can do more than 10 pull-ups"(meaning nvr... coz i cant even do one pull up)

Tmr: Council Interview... Wish me luck...
